Citylight Generator, incorporated as a private company on October 10, 1994, has been promoted by Mr. Ashok J. Shah and Mr. Vallabhbhai P. Italia. The company deals mainly in the trading of diesel generator sets (or ‘gensets’) of the leading Kirloskar Cummins brand. It also deals in electrical goods & spares, and motors of another leading brand, Crompton Greaves Ltd., for which, it is an authorized dealer.
The Managing Director Mr. Ashok J. Shah, 38, is a young technocrat in the field of electricals for the last 13 years; and hailing from a family that has been in this business for three decades. Awarded for marketing excellence, three years in succession, by Crompton Greaves Ltd., he is innovative, experienced and always on the lookout for new ideas and challenges.
The Joint Managing Director, Mr. Vallabhbhai P. Italia, 42, has also had 20 years of technical experience, and complements Mr. Shah’s skills in running the firm. Between them, they have three associated concerns, tapping prime markets in Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar and Surat. Together, they wield considerable resources, manpower and goodwill, to carve a significant niche and hold a lot of potential for any upcoming venture.
To tap the all-India market effectively, the company is also opening its branch at Delhi (being the first in the Trade from Gujarat, to do so), under an extremely able, experienced, well-connected, local, liaison person. It also has two NRI’s on its Board of Directors, Mr. Anil C. Raval and Ms. Rashmi Pandey.
