Our story begins in 1898 when our US Soldiers began training in the Chickamauga Battlefield for the Spanish-American War.
Fort Oglethorpe served as an active military post till 1946. The City of Fort O was established in 1949.
Our story continues today as a thriving community that has always remembered where we came from.
