CIV - Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti - is a research & development center developing innovative varieties of apple and strawberry and the production of certified propagation material for fruit industry worldwide. Active since 1983, based in Italy, Emilia Romagna Region, is a Consortium founded by three of the leading Italian nurseries operating at international level: Vivai Mazzoni, Salvi Vivai, Tagliani Vivai. Thanks to its long-standing agronomic expertise, continuous investments in Research & Development, synergy and co-operation with several qualified international public and private research centre at worldwide level, CIV has always been committed to contributing to the development of a sustainable agri-food sector based on the principles of sustainable agriculture, focusing on innovative breeding strategies aimed at natural disease resistance and fruit quality features of relevance for the fruit markets.
