The Civic Media Lab is a center for digital and media innovation working at the intersection of design, technology, media, and democracy.
Founded by the Sahara Reporters Media Foundation, the center seeks to blend advocacy and activism as well as civic technology into journalism to deepen democracy and ensure better governance.
The organization believes strongly in the need for journalists to interact with techies and civil advocates to tell the type of stories that would ensure changes in our social, political and economic lives as Nigerians.
The job of the center is to strengthen the Nigerian media to win by providing the relevant data and tech force. This effort is expected to trigger a major turn-around in the practice of Journalism.
