The Civil Society and Social Innovation Alliance (CIVIC) is the World Bank Group's dedicated financing and support facility for civil society organizations, social innovators, and other social economy actors, integrating participatory approaches into broader WBG operations to scale innovative, people-driven solutions for more effective and equitable development outcomes.
CIVIC works through networks to connect local solutions to global systems, leveraging the WBG's convening power with governments, the private sector, civil society and other key stakeholders. Through bridge financing, capacity building, and multistakeholder coalition-building, CIVIC will strengthen the connective tissue between people on the ground and the World Bank to tackle pressing global challenges.
