Civic engagement means working to make a difference in the life of our communities, using the combination of knowledge, skills, values and motivation to make a difference. It means promoting the quality of life in a community, through both political and non-political processes. CivicTechWR brings together people from different sectors and industries to actively solve issues facing our local community. We welcome people with all types and levels of skills. Even though our solutions will typically involve technology, everyone is welcome and everyone has a skill or experience that can be leveraged. We aren't just creating tech products, we are creating multi-dimensional solutions. We're here to empower people to work together, exchange ideas and tools to improve the lives of the residents in and around Waterloo Region through civic technology.
