DRIIV: Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation

DRIIV is one of the six Science and Technology (S&T) clusters set up across the country to use scientific research and innovation for India’s socio-economic development towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. The clusters are a thriving ecosystem of eminent academic institutions, national & state research laboratories, industry partners, start-ups, MSMEs, relevant ministries, state governments and philanthropic foundations that come together to solve problems of national relevance. CKIC-DRIIV is currently working on environmental and societal problems pertinent to Delhi and neighboring regions. These include issues related to Solid Waste Management, Water Security, Air Pollution, application of AI/ML in Healthcare (e.g. developing early warning systems for Covid mutations), Sustainable Mobility (e.g. e-mobility infrastructure, digitization of public transport, passenger safety) and Effective Education (developing new experiential pedagogies for STEM using aforementioned real life issues). We are also in the process of introducing Agriculture/Food Security as a new vertical and augment the Healthcare vertical with additional capabilities in biotechnology. Given the national relevance of these issues, the solutions are scalable countrywide and we actively work with other S&T clusters and industry partners to take the technology from lab to market.
