Adding design flare within reception spaces and communal areas to give them a more aesthetic feel and look, whilst producing lighting calculations within Relux or Dialux it enables us to produce schemes that adhere to Regulations and provide visuals for the customer to be able to see and feel what the space will eventually look like once it’s all installed. Calculations are exported into AutoCad to provide the customer with 2D plans enabling the production of installation and wiring schematics. Calculations are completed along with design, BREEAM calculations & Part L calculations to give the customer the buildings compliance. In some cases, lighting schemes are provided and asked to provide a VE design, to help the customer reduce the energy costs, installation costs and value costs, providing an overall better design using my technical knowledge and experience of lighting. Producing BIM models (Revit families) for lighting companies to be compliant with the current BIM standards. Modelling accurate lighting fixtures with the relevant information to be used within the families to produce accurate CoBie information.
