Hello, I’m Jen – A professional freelance proofreader and editor. I’m educated to Degree Level (English and Drama BA – University College Worcester) and based in Hampshire where I live with my husband, two daughters and cat!
In 2022, I became an entry-level member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), formerly the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP). I have since completed and passed my proofreading training with them.
I am committed to my professional training and intend to work towards upgrading my CIEP membership in 2023 and beyond.
I offer a wealth of experience including writing, editing and proofreading articles, reports, short stories and content for my clients.
Not only do I edit and proofread for a living but, more importantly, I love the work I do and have a genuine passion for the written word. As a child, I would often spend hours perusing the fiction aisles in bookshops. Reading has always been a big part of my life. I am fortunate enough to now read for a living.
