CLARO DE BOSQUE, Territorial Value Creation

Our proposal is based on "Territorial Unit Management" (M.U.T.). A territorial unit is an area that serves an economic purpose extending beyond the boundaries of a single property. Its goal is to integrate needs and achieve synergy for greater social, environmental, economic, and spiritual value of the territorial unit. M.U.T. allows for the compatibility of conservation and recreation options with sustainable productive activities. This approach improves forest conditions and watershed conservation, preventing the deterioration and abandonment of native forests, lack of infrastructure, and protection of the territory. Since 2008, Claro de Bosque has been promoting a biomass market from native forests as an alternative for the management, restoration, and valuation of native forests on agricultural properties. Our model allows the creation of financial instruments to capitalize on forests and properties today, and to make them profitable tomorrow with an adequate liquidity structure.
