Clarus Labs is a tech startup based out of research conducted in the Dongmao Zhang lab at Mississippi State University. With 3 pending and 1 awarded patent, Clarus Labs has developed numerous innovative optical spectroscopic methods and instrumentation for portable, high-throughput, and reliable results.
Our current project reduces the time and cost of oxidation testing with a portable, 3-step testing solution that cuts testing time from days to 10 minutes for meat-related samples, including raw meats, processed meats, cured meats, rendered meats, and pet food.
Funded by the National Science Foundation, Clarus Labs is dedicated to developing innovative testing kits, with potential future tests including mycotoxin and nitrates.
