Class 13 is dedicated to transforming education by centring equity and relationships at the heart of every learning environment. Since our inception in 2020, we have been on a mission to create systemic change that nurtures mental health, reduces exclusions, and improves teacher retention. We believe that equitable practices are the cornerstone of a transformative educational experience. Our Approach Our approach is designed to dismantle systemic barriers and foster an inclusive, affirming atmosphere where every young person can thrive. By addressing the immediate needs of marginalised young people and laying the foundation for long-term, sustainable change, we aim to create an educational system that benefits everyone in the community. Programmes Foundation Learning: Our flagship programme offers comprehensive training for educators, focusing on understanding and implementing equitable practices in the classroom. Participants gain practical tools and reflective resources to transform their teaching methods. Upcoming Initiatives Embedded Pilot: Starting in September 2024, we will embark on a 4-year project to showcase effective equity practices in schools, answering the question, "Who is doing it right?" Equity-Centred Safeguarding Training: We're completing the NSPCC 6-day safeguarding training. From early 2025, we'll offer comprehensive training to integrate equity into every aspect of school safety.
