Clay & Glaze is a studio pottery initiative born from the hands and hearts of a mother-daughter duo in the tranquil town of Pondicherry. Rooted in tradition and inspired by everyday beauty, we create contemporary, functional ceramics crafted in collaboration with skilled village potters.
Each piece begins with locally sourced clay—blended into our signature mix of 5–6 varieties—then hand-thrown or moulded with intention. Once shaped, it’s bisque-fired, glazed using food-safe, lead-free, zinc-free finishes, and kiln-fired at 1300°C to unlock its full strength, luster, and timeless charm.
Our work is more than just pottery. It’s an ode to slow living, thoughtful design, and earthy elegance. From tableware to serveware, every piece is microwave and dishwasher safe—built for modern rituals, yet rooted in age-old craft.
