Cleanhearing is a medical device startup and the manufacturer of Sono, a new Class IIa medical device and evidence-based approach to tinnitus treatment and management. Sono is suitable and approved for most cases of diagnosed tinnitus, including chronic tinnitus.
EQUIPMENT
Sono consists of specialized headphones operated by a handheld controller. The headphones apply gentle pulses of electromagnetic stimulation that target underlying tinnitus contributors to calm and soothe symptoms. To use Sono, patients simply put on the headphones, and follow the prompts on the controller touchscreen. Therapy is recommended twice per day for up to 20 minutes per session.
SONO IN CLINICAL PRACTICE
Patients can use Sono at home independently, under the guidance of their doctor or audiologist. Sono integrates easily into your practice as a standalone treatment or complement to other compatible therapies.
