Cleaning Tips by Trish

From the time I received my first toy mop, I've had an early appreciation for cleaning. While raising two children and striving for “Leave it to Beaver” perfection, my appreciation for cleanliness grew into a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. Throughout my life, when things seemed out of control, I would vacuum and sing my self-made mantra, “cold before hot, more often than not, but when in doubt, simply blot it out” and let the chaos of the world fade away, while focusing on the one thing I could achieve through the chaos…clean! With a respect and affinity for the cleaning industry, I studied and broke down each step in the process of touching surfaces to create techniques to avoid cross contamination. At minimum, I felt that learning about our common enemy (germs and stains) would allow me to help people protect their families and provide them a sense of empowerment in their homes. From flu season preparation to staying on top of home maintenance or providing advice on natural cleaning products for a sparkling home, my main goal is simple…to inspire people and provide tips on cleanliness as a pathway to happiness, health, and peace in the home. Recently, I was able to contribute as a cleaning expert for Real Simple Magazine, Martha Stewart, Readers Digest, Apartment Therapy and was also featured in Empowered Magazine. I no longer strive for that “Leave it Beaver” perfection, but instead place a higher importance on achieving the possible through cleaning techniques and tips to help keep up with messes as they come. Of this one thing I am certain: June Cleaver would be proud of my continual growth and endeavor to be my perfectly imperfect self. And, now armed with my adult-size mop, and a wealth of cleaning tips at hand, I fearlessly face life’s messy challenges one at a time, all while vacuuming and singing (of course)! :)
