Clearcals is a digital health and nutrition startup founded in April 2020. Our objective is to couple nutrition science and digital technology to provide innovative healthcare solutions. The "Hint" app is an advanced health-tech application developed to make evidence-based nutrition care accessible. HINT stands for Health Informatics and Nutrition Therapy. Key Highlights of the Hint app: You can get personalized goals based on your age, gender, height, weight, activity level, and latest NIN-ICMR guidelines. We have included a nutrition database of thousands of Indian recipes in the Hint app. This database was created at Clearcals using algorithms and tools developed in-house. Using this nutrition data, you can track calories, carbs, protein, fat, fiber, sugar, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. In addition, you can monitor the intake of essential vitamins and minerals to compare against the latest RDA suggested by NIN-ICMR. You can calculate your calorie burn from 28 exercises without any expensive wearable device. Prevent dehydration by logging your water intake regularly. Learn a healthier way to cook and explore new recipes. Set reminders to create healthy habits and reduce stress. Use diet summary and hints to follow a balanced diet. Following a balanced diet helps you lose weight, gain muscle, boost immunity, prevent chronic diseases, manage chronic conditions and improve overall health. In addition to the Hint app, we are also building other advanced web applications. This suite of web-based and mobile applications will empower clinical dietitians in providing nutrition plans to patients suffering from and individuals at risk of chronic diseases. These plans are a part of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) delivered by clinical dietitians. MNT is an evidence-based medical approach to treat various non-communicable diseases. It helps patients recover more quickly, prevents hospitalization, and reduces the risk of related comorbidities.
