ClearGiving, founded by a group of tech entrepreneurs, decided to reinvent the way we give to charity in the modern age by making it peer to peer, transparent and efficient.
Through the ClearGiving.com website, users can find profiles of pre-qualified families in dire need and choose to support them with any monthly amount through credit card. The family gets 100% of such donation while all operational costs of the NGO is covered by dedicated sponsors. We currently screen and qualify families in Israel with the goal of supporting each family with $200/month. The actual support is given in the form of food stamps, which can dramatically ease their day to day struggle.
Unlike traditional NGOs, we are radically transparent. Not only that the user chooses where exactly their money goes, but they also know that it was used in its entirety to support families in need and not for operations. In addition, even though families and donors remain anonymous on the website, we allow donors to get periodic updates about their supported families status.
All donations are tax deductible both in the US and in Israel.
