Our novel rapid diagnostic assay for Cytomegalovirus (CMV), powered by CRISPR-Cas12a technology, delivers a substantial improvement in sensitivity (10-100x) and specificity over conventional PCR methods. We can successfully detect genomic material in saliva, dried blood spots, serum, and urine. This point-of-care solution addresses existing diagnostic limitations, enhancing patient outcomes where timely detection is critical. We are currently expanding this platform diagnostic technology to include a wide range of genomic targets such as human, fungal, and bacterial.
