CliDemy - the Climate Academy

CliDemy - standing for Climate Academy - is a venture aimed at providing effective education, training & skills for climate action. We are starting CliDemy with small steps, but with a very big vision. CliDemy wishes to educate, train and provide skills to 1 billion people worldwide for taking effective climate action by 2030, and 3 billion by 2035, which will be about a third of the world’s total population by then. We are sure you think this is a laughably big target. Yes. but something really worth aspiring for. What sort of an education, training & skill development will make a real difference to climate action? That is a very difficult question to answer, as climate action will touch almost every aspect of our lives, and in many different ways. While we do not profess to have all the answers to the question above, we are fairly confident of one starting point - and that is the list of Decarbonization Avenues. With the help of our consulting team who have been working in the climate tech sector for more than a decade, we have put together a list of about 50 decarbonization avenues (DA). Each DA is a reasonably actionable vehicle for decarbonization - solar power is one such DA. Of course, each DA is quite vast in itself, so there are further sub-components within each DA that will be used to structure the education & training modules. CliDemy uses the fifty DAs as its foundation.
