About CLIMACT

The CLIMACT center, established in 2021 through a collaboration between the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and the EPFL, will cease operations on 31 December 2024. This decision follows the two institutions’ agreement not to extend the partnership beyond the initial term. While the Center is closing, ongoing projects will continue, and efforts in sustainability and climate action will be carried forward by initiatives such as the Competence Centre in Sustainability (CCD), the Expertise Center for Climate Extremes (ECCE), and EPFL’s new Vice Presidency for Strategic Development. We thank all our partners and supporters for their trust and commitment. Until 31 December, our list of climate experts remains available for media and policy professionals: climact.ch/fr/experts.
