ClimaGen

ClimaGen focuses on urban greening and renaturing to promote climate-resilient regeneration in European cities, particularly in vulnerable neighbourhoods. The project integrates nature-based solutions (NbS) to address climate change adaptation and mitigation, urban regeneration, and biodiversity while promoting social and economic benefits. The project spans nine European cities, each of which will implement or plan urban green space interventions. These interventions include creating community gardens, green roofs, rain gardens, urban forests, and more to increase green public spaces by 25% in demonstration cities. The project uses social innovation, cultural engagement, and stakeholder involvement to transform these areas into resilient, climate-neutral spaces.
