The Climate Change Adaptation Lab (CCAL) was established in 2023 as a strategic investment by La Trobe University to advance research, learning and knowledge exchange on climate change adaptation. Prof. Lauren Rickards, Director, is a Lead Author with the Australasia chapter of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Sixth Assessment Report on Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability and has been leading research on climate change adaptation for 15 years. The CCAL team includes researchers, Affiliate Members, and international academic partnerships, bringing multi-disciplinary expertise to questions of adaptation.
