Climate Concept Foundation

The Climate Concept Foundation helps to overcome the challenge Climate Change is posing to the ecologic well-being of our planet and to future generations. We acquire carbon credits used for compliance with emission trading regimes like the EU ETS and permanently withhold them from carbon markets in order to cause additional emission reductions. If appropriate, we cancel these certificates. So far, we have acquired nearly 50,000 EU Allowances. We contribute to the improvement of environmental policy measures in the field of Climate Change by commenting on draft legislation, highlighting shortcomings in existing legislation and promoting awareness about Climate Change in the public domain. With our submissions to policy setting bodies like the UN Climate Change Secretariat in Bonn, the DG Climate Action at the EU Commission and other institutions, we have helped to improve the ecologic Standards of framework conditions relevant for international emission reduction projects. We cooperate with Business institutions and non-governmental organizations to continue achieving further improvements. The Climate Concept Foundation has been registered as a charitable organization in Hamburg, Germany.
