The University of Victoria is a globally recognized hub for climate action. For decades, UVic research has driven climate innovation, prioritizing collaboration with Indigenous, coastal and remote communities, NGOs, government and industry to shape sustainable policies and advance low-carbon energy solutions.
UVic's Climate Connector is a new campus-wide initiative created to strengthen connections amongst UVic climate and sustainability researchers and with climate solutions-seekers in Victoria, British Columbia and beyond to accelerate climate action.
This virtual hub orients climate solutions-seekers to the diversity of UVic’s expertise through a new Climate Researcher Directory, and featured UVic climate institutes, research projects, and training programs, as well as climate news and events.
Through climate change seminars and panels, leadership training, internships with solutions seekers and networking events, the Climate Connector amplify existing research, and foster new collaborative actionable research to meet the challenge of the climate crisis.
