Cluas helps children to develop their Speech and Language, listening and comprehension and their ability to communicate. Our individualised programmes help to develop Speech and Language, reduce the impact of Dyslexia, Asperger’s Syndrome, Attention Difficulties, Dyspraxia and Auditory Processing Difficulties. At Cluas we offer both the Cluas @ Home program for children of all ages and centre-based programs for younger children. Cluas is based in Harold’s Cross, Dublin. Our therapy room is fully equipped for different age groups, and allow our clients the flexibility during their program to move around, complete activities, play games and interact with our staff. We have a consulting and testing room which we use for meeting with parents, performing listening tests, auditory processing tests, and various other tests which allow us to build up a person’s listening profile, in order to see where their difficulties lie. The Cluas @ home program allows children and teenagers to complete their program in the familiar surrounds of their own home. The Cluas program will help with: · Speech & Language Difficulties · Reading & Comprehension · Attention & Concentration · Auditory Processing Difficulties The first step is to arrange and appointment for an assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to decide whether or not an individual will benefit from our program. It also allows us to gather all the information necessary to design a program specifically for someone. The assessment typically takes between 2 and 3 hours (depending on age) and at the end of the assessment we will be able to make a recommendation. If we think the program will be beneficial and you decide to go ahead with it we can generally start shortly there after. A Cluas therapeutic listening program will then be designed specifically for your child. The program can be completed either at home or at Cluas. If you are doing the Cluas @ home program we will train you up on how to use the program and exactly what to do during each of the daily sessions. The program is broken into 3 stages; Stage 1 is 2 hours per day for 15 days followed by a 4 week break Stage 2 is 2 hours per day for 8 days followed by a 4 week break, Stage 3 is also 2 hours per day for 8 days. During each of the stages there are a number of follow up meetings which allow us to tweak and develop the program. Following the completion of the 3 stages a full review will take place. This will allow us to compare the pre and post program results.
