Cluster Sofia Knowledge City

Cluster Sofia Knowledge City is aiming to be the initiator and participant in the process of transforming Sofia from a traditional administrative capital into a smart and knowledge city that builds and maintains a sustainable high quality of life and good governance by supporting the development of business based on innovation and knowledge. Through its activities the Cluster will create prerequisites for turning the city into a national and regional center for education, modern research, innovation and entrepreneurship, based on new smart technologies. The cluster is building its own model for a city of knowledge and is creating investment conditions for its realization through business initiatives and projects to manage for the benefit of its members and the entire innovation ecosystem of the city. Being an open association of unlimited number of enterprises, science and education organisations the cluster is focussed on creating an "innovative ecosystem" based on the experience of leading Knowledge and smart cities in the world. There are two main thematic industrial areas where the members will cooperate: ICT and new technologies in creative and recreative industries.
