CMAL is a leading multidisciplinary group of researchers and clinicians affiliated with KU Leuven and the University Hospitals Leuven. The research is closely linked to the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and the Neurorehabilitation Research Group (eNRGy).
Our primary goal is twofold:
Research pathway: Conduct pioneering clinical movement analysis research.
Clinical pathway: Provide standardised clinical movement analysis for various patient groups
Through several cutting-edge projects, we are developing a powerful, integrated multidisciplinary framework, which helps us unravel the connection between neuromotor impairments and a pathological gait. Consequently, we can support clinical decision-making of patients with neuromotor disorders. To achieve this, we collaborate with experts in the fields of physiotherapy, orthopaedics, biomedical technology, engineering, physical medicine and paediatrics, among others.
