In addition, founded, grew (to 150,000+ members, 10,000 articles), managed and sold GrownUps.co.nz to Cigna Insurance, the 67th largest Fortune 500 company. Negotiated multiple deals along the way; start-up funding with Sentinel (now Heartland), JV with Yellow & buy-backs. Hands on across value props, sense-checking ideas, tech builds, marketing & comms planning, automation, competitor analysis, product roadmaps, financials, strategic partner relationships, content-led strategies, research/insights, CX/UX/journeys, growing on/offline visitor/member communities, onboarding, utilising data, creating single views of the customer, building rev channels, understanding (the 50+) demographics, negotiating potential pitfalls/risks, operations, general governance vs management, deal-making and readying for Succession/Exit at any time.
