West Coast employs advanced Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage (BiCRS) and Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage by (BECCS) technologies to mitigate climate change by targeting methane and CO2 emissions. Our mission is to recycle biomass residues, a byproduct currently disposed of through incineration, into a valuable resource: Biochar. Not only does this process address waste management issues, but it also contributes to improved soil fertility, agricultural productivity, and climate change mitigation through carbon sequestration. Our solutions maximize carbon storage and energy co-benefits by creating energy coproducts like hydrogen and utilizing biomass to avoid methane release. By deploying modular approaches to handle smaller biomass sources efficiently and integrate with industrial waste systems for direct injection, conversion to energy, and hydrothermal liquefaction.
