The Coalition for the Advancement of Research Assessment (CoARA)'s Working Group on 'Ethics and Research Integrity Policy in Responsible Research Assessment for Data and Artificial Intelligence (ERIP)' develops the integration of research ethics and research integrity into digital tools for the establishment of policy and governance in the evaluation of scientific research. ERIP improves innovation in policy making for European Universities and research institutions regarding the implementation of transformative technologies (machine learning methods and artificial intelligence models) for expanding traditional understandings of participation in, and contributions to, scientific outputs and communication. It develops an experimental platform for promoting and implementing new ideas for evaluating cutting-edge talent while promoting gender and cultural equity among early career and established scientists/academics by developing research evaluation policy that clarifies the use of terminology, indicators, metrics, and datasets in innovative digital education and research environments.
