COAST - Analytical Science and Technology

About COAST Analytical science is at the heart of innovation. COAST: Comprehensive Analytical Science and Technology was established as an independent foundation in 2008 and is officially recognized as the national Community of Innovation (COI) for Analytical Science and Technology in the Topsector Chemistry in 2016. As a public-private partnership, our community consists of more than 70 organizations with an interest in analytical science and technology. Our mission is to strengthen analytical science in The Netherlands through an integrated strategic agenda of Research and Development (R&D), Human Capital and Infrastructure (see also Products and Services). We wish to secure the availability of talent in analytical science. Our main goal is to promote Dutch excellence in innovation by providing top-level analytical expertise and instruments. We invest in education through talent programs at the BSc and MSc levels, in which almost 70 students are currently enrolled. COAST is committed to raise the level of knowledge and expertise of the entire community. Today, COAST is recognized as the premier partner for analytical science and technology in The Netherlands. COAST is solely financed by its participants, which makes us an independent and flexible community.
