The Regional Resilience Partnership (RRP) of the South Texas Coastal Bend works with local officials, business partners, non-profits, and other organizations to help bring communities from disaster recovery to holistic resilience, meaning healthy communities, economies, ecosystems and strong and resilient infrastructure. This joint partnership initially focuses on the 11 counties encompassing the South Texas Coastal Bend Region, with geographic expansion as the program grows. However, we encourage broader collaboration with Texas and Gulf of Mexico communities. The RRP is administered by the Coastal Bend Council of Governments (CBCOG) and Harte Research Institute (HRI) for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). The objective of the RRP is to build the capacity of communities to strengthen resilience and mitigate disaster risk. To do so, the RRP offers the following services to its partners and stakeholders: - Weekly RRP-News email listserv with training and funding announcements (sign up at RRP@tamucc.edu) - Targeted training sessions on recovery, mitigation and resilience - Direct technical support and guidance to local partners on implementing recovery, resilience and risk mitigation measures We invite additional partners to join us.
