COBAGS was founded in 2014 in Copenhagen, the bicycle capital of the world. With 62% of all trips in Copenhagen being made on a bicycle, COBAGS released the first tote shopping bag – the BIKEZAC – made to fit onto the luggage carrier of the bicycle.
The BIKEZAC is an innovative shopping bag, made of recycled woven PP, a solid and sustainable material. However, its special feature is its innovative, patented mounting rail. Thanks to it, the shopping bag can be attached to a bicycle's luggage rack with only 2 clicks, making shopping by bike easier and safe.
With the three buzzwords #convenient, #ecofriendly and #safe in mind, we have worked hard over the last few years to refine the idea of the BIKEZAC and improve and optimize its design.
More than satisfied with the current solution, we now focus on making the alternative shopping bag accessible in Denmark and other European countries.
We are convinced that the BIKEZAC is an innovative alternative for single use plastic bags. Yet, in order to have a positive effect on the preservation of the environment, many individuals have to choose the sustainable way. To make the BIKEZAC easily accessible, we are continuously expanding our network of retailers. Besides that, we are collaborating with various companies that customize the BIKEZAC with their logo. Together, we can change the world of disposable plastic bags.
For the future we are full of exciting ideas and thus curious to discover where the COBAGS journey will take us.
