ABOUT THE ROBOT FOUNDRY The Robot Foundry or TRF (earlier known as Coboticca) is a Venture Studio for robotics startups. Our R&D and product development lab is based in Mumbai & Mysore, India and our target markets are US, Japan & EU. We are raising a Studio Fund to seed 5 robotics startups a year. Highlights : 1) Business Model: Focus on R&D, innovation, and IP development in robotics and AI. Commercialization through startups incorporated in target geographies ; led by experienced individuals in the respective customer or market segments Plan to build 5 startups per year over 5 years (total 25 startups). Each startup receives a working prototype, IP, and pitch support. 2) Target Markets: US, Japan and EU. Thesis : attractive markets due to increasing robotics adoption caused by massive labor shortage 3) Cohort 1 : see the PPT 4) Startup Structure: IP transferred to local entity (US) upon incorporation CEO and CTO receive 35–40% equity each; Coboticca retains 20–30%.
