Our founders Nesma Nafea and Menna Saleh touched the market gap when they needed to purchase silk pillowcases themselves and couldn't find any. They started Cocoon The Silk Shop with a set target to provide this effortless beauty tools to all girls and women whom sleeping on silk for is a necessity and not just a luxury.
Cocoon Silk aims at reviving the silk industry in Egypt by working with small farmers and factories to develop the yield and production quality over the next few years to put Egypt on the global competition market for Mulberry silk production again.
Currently Cocoon's silk is sourced from ethical and sustainable producers and is ethically crafted by Egyptian hands under fair work conditions to provide high quality pure silk products to the Egyptian and Arab markets for the time being.
