The CODALLEH program is an innovative training program for ultra-Orthodox women with a specialization in algorithm implementation and low-level development, focusing on developing required skills and mastery of common programming languages based on industry needs and in coordination with high-tech industry executives.
The CODALLEH program was created to unleash the potential amongst outstanding students of engineering tracks of ultra-Orthodox seminaries. The CODALLEH program trains them for algorithmic programming roles (Image, signal, or video processing) and low-level development while efficiently focusing on what matters most for development teams in today's HighTech.
In recent years, employment statistics of the high-tech industry indicate a shortage of 18.5 thousand workers.
Despite efforts to integrate the ultra-Orthodox public into the high-tech industry, only about 3% of all high-tech workers are ultra-Orthodox - a quarter of their relative percentage in Israeli society. Out of the ultra-Orthodox workers, two-thirds are women.
The CODALLEH program currently spans over 720 hours of study. It uses advanced teaching techniques, like hybrid learning, to maximize the pace and quality of education according to current industry needs.
We plan to expand CODALLEH to 2,000 hours of study, including in it many B.sc and M.sc topics, to provide broad and high-quality education.
