Code For Floripa is a non-profit initiative that aims to create free and open source technology solutions for Florianópolis, with voluntary citizens motivated to solve the problems in the city. We believe that we will not improve governments without improving citizenhood, and for this we need to be more than voices and votes, we must also be hands that work together for a promising future. We are an official brigade from Code for America, for the Florianópolis people. Code for America is an initiative that emerged in 2009 in the United States of America that aims to connect citizens through technology for the development of cities across the country. To be part of the group you don't need to be a programmer, just have the willpower to promote change, because every skillset is essential for the development of our projects.
