Code Red Co.

WE ARE A COOPERATIVE! Code Red Co. (Code Red Collective) is an organization that has been active for the past 6 years in functioning as a co-powering non-profit promoting period wellness and de-stigmatization through literacy, aid, and advocacy. Growth within our organization has led us into focusing more on community and collective care when solving the issues correlating with period wellness. We desire to work towards dismantling inaccessibility and lack of intersectionality when it comes to period wellness and the community problems surrounding it. These are the community problems we want to address: systematic racism, period poverty, mass incarceration, school - to - prison pipeline, transphobia, police brutality, and economic exploitation. We choose the cooperative model because we believe that satisfying a need in the community over profiting from the community is what matters to us. Code Red Collective is us introducing a new era: decolonizing wellness as a divestment from a system that criminalizes and incarcerates into an investment in that based on collective and community care.
