We have found that there has been a lack of opportunities for students to extend themselves beyond the scope of the curriculum when it comes to project-based programming. To solve this, we organised CodeSec, a creative, competitive, learning opportunity for students.
Throughout the senior competition, students will develop their programming skillset by working in teams of 2 to 4 to develop solutions for a given project brief. Teams will then present their projects before a judging panel and receive constructive feedback on their work.
The competition ran online with schools from across the country participating.
CodeSec International is a free, programming-centric mentorship program for pupils aged 11 to 14, all over the world. The program is designed to be a
comprehensive introduction to Python for middle-school students, to provide them with the skills, confidence and ability to produce advanced programming projects. It will last 12 weeks.
