Under certain conditions an addiction can emerge from any collage of experiences, but the addictive mechanism will not run without the War-within-Self to Power it. Therefore, end the War-within-Self and you end the Addiction, regardless of the type, regardless of cause, regardless of the damage done. Even if the causal mechanism is still in place, the addiction will not run, like a car with an empty gas tank.
