COGNO is the national peak body for collaborative multi-site neuro-oncology clinical trials and the neuro-oncology community. The COGNO network has more than 1000 members across Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the world.
We promote and facilitate the development of clinical trials to evaluate current therapies, new treatments and supportive interventions for people affected by brain tumours, aiming to improve outcomes and transform clinical practice.
We actively engage the health professional, scientific and consumer community in developing, conducting, evaluating and promoting brain tumour clinical trials. We also incorporate translational studies into new clinical trials, bridging laboratory discoveries with clinical applications. We foster collaboration among clinicians, researchers, scientists, patients and consumer advocates to accelerate progress in neuro-oncology and focus on innovative approaches to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
We promote and publish important collaborative research results from the COGNO trials portfolio and work to ensure that new discoveries can be broadly disseminated, maximising their positive impact on patient care.
