Cognus Limited (previously Sutton Education Services Ltd) is a recent spin-out from the London Borough of Sutton, set up to deliver the Council’s statutory education services and to provide services to schools and academies in Sutton and beyond. Our aim is to be a fleet-of-foot commercial enterprise, able to respond to opportunities and threats in the education market to benefit schools and students alike. The company is led by a Board of Directors of seven (four Council appointees - including the Chair, two appointed by the minority shareholders, and the Managing Director). We employ approximately 140 people, based at offices within Sutton.
