Le Réseau Cohabilis regroupe plus de 50 structures qui accompagnent sur 19000 communes métropolitaines et ultramarines 1700 cohabitations intergénérationnelles solidaires par an, soit 360 000 jours d’entraide entre jeunes et seniors. Ce dispositif est basé sur une idée de partage, de respect mutuel, de petits "coups de mains", de contrepartie financière bien en deçà du marché locatif local. Il est encadré règlementairement. Les membres du réseau associatif développent par ailleurs 30 autres solutions d’habitat partagé (habitat inclusif, intergénérationnel, etc.) disséminés sur tout le territoire. Cela fait de lui un représentant majeur de la solidarité dans et par l’habitat.
