USA announced to acquire Rofin - SINAR along with all its subsidiaries; namely Nufern, Optoskand, Lasag, DILAS, Lee Laser and PRC Laser. The merger was announced in November, 2016 after completing all the legal procedures, thus Coherent and Rofin become one company, the world’s largest with an employee strength of 5000 and a customer base of 20,000.

Ltd. to take care of their business interests in India. Consequently, Rofin - SINAR Laser India has been merged into Coherent Laser India Pvt. Ltd. and several of its key employees from sales and service have become now employees of Coherent Laser India Pvt. Ltd.
