WHO WE ARE Founded in the year of 2016 under the principles of a social co-operative society “Collecteave” is an agricultural collective schema, based on a core of six friends with equal rights and responsibilities for each member. While having different professional fields of expertise, we created Collecteave out of love for nature and curiosity about the impressive wealth of medicinal herbs in the Greek flora. The main activity of our co-operative consists in the production and processing of aromatic and medicinal herbs, following the organic but also dryland farming philosophy and techniques. Our plantation field covers 10 hectares, all of them certified of their suitability for organic production by the approved Organic Certification Body ΔΗΩ [GR-BIO-01]. It climbs an altitude of 750 meters in the highlands of Mt. Olympus, in Central Greece, providing our herbs a distinctively prosperous environment for their growth. OUR STANDARDS Our aromatic herbs draw their exceptional flavour and unmatched quality only from the richness of the Greek climate and soil. A combination of altitude, soil composition and zero water addition alongside with the organic production techniques we follow, gives us a high quality essential oil and the outstanding taste of our herbs. We carefully select our partners in order to assure the maximum quality from the very beginning. Organic certified nurseries, run by specialists who shares our vision and passion for this domain, are our seed suppliers but also our advisers. Planting, treatment and harvesting of our herbs are done manually with the minimum addition of mechanical means in order to combine modern methods of organic farming and respect for our natural environment. Handpicked and traditionally dried in optimal conditions, our herbs maintain all of their beneficial organoleptic properties followed by a vivid natural colour for a unique presentation.
