The mission of the Collective Arts Network (CAN) is to facilitate collaboration among visual art organizations for the purpose of education and communication about events and issues relevant to the visual arts in Northeast Ohio.
CAN's primary project is the quarterly publication of CAN Journal, which consists of coordinated communication by curators, gallery directors, and artists about their upcoming exhibits and programs and independent reporting and commentary on exhibits, art-making, and related issues.
CAN Journal is distributed free in more than 200 locations in Cuyahoga, Medina, Summit, Lorain, and Lake Counties, with a projected 2018 print circulation of 55,000 per issue, as well as 60,000 annually online.
