At the core of everything we do is the story and with any good story you’ll always have three things, the beginning, the middle and the end. Our story begins in 2009 when Tim, a writer & director, and David, a business manager & producer, founded the content creation hub, Collective Productions Namibia, now known as collective.com.na With their combined film & television industry experience of more than two decades, Tim and David had a simple wish at heart, to tell authentic Namibian stories for audiences at home and around the world. For the past ten years, each and every audiovisual content we created is a testament to this core value. Throughout our journey as storytellers we have creatively worked with international TV stations in Germany, China and South Africa to produce documentary films and series which accurately portray Namibia’s versatile land and people. We’re no stranger to fiction either, having made narrative short films and a full-length feature which have represented our country at global film festivals. When 2020 upended so many conventions, we at collective.com.na opted to reinvent our approach. Remaining true to our original vision of telling authentic Namibian stories, we are moving with the times and now create online content which is watched the world over.
