The Harlem Community Enterprise Acceleration Program (HCEAP) empowers local entrepreneurs, small business owners, and social enterprises in Harlem and Upper Manhattan with essential skills in financial management, marketing, and technology know-how to accelerate business growth. This no-cost summer program, offered by Tamer Institute Executive Education, provides training, peer support, networking opportunities, pro bono assistance, and advisors drawn from the Columbia Business School and University community. Key Program Topics: - financial management and analysis; - digital marketing strategies using social media, tech- and AI-enabled tools; - technology-needs assessment, including designing a tech bundle, analytics and metrics, payment systems, CRMs, POS, and apps; - legal guidance on entities, agreements, contracts, and trademarks; and - peer-based learning and coaching to develop optimization and growth plans. All materials costs and catering for in-person sessions are provided at no cost.
