Compost Culture

Compost Culture is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to composting for the environment. Our mission is to create a culture of sustainability through a network of education, interaction, and service. Compost Culture aims to limit the methane emissions produced by organic food waste. Community members sign up to have their food scraps picked up and taken to the Huntington Library and Gardens to be turned into compost. We service over 100 households producing more than 500 gallons of waste each month. The compost is shared to the gardens and given back to community members at a local farmers market.
