Comedy Club Haug is an initiative of Marcel Haug and opened in March 2019. A start-up with over twenty years of experience in the Netherlands and abroad in the field of comedy. As employee of Men at Work TV Produkties he is one of the driving forces behind the success of tv-shows like The Comedy Factory and Raymann is Laat, taped in Rotterdam. Haug has booked over 400 comedians for late night TV shows. He was a pioneer in bringing great artist to The Netherlands such as: Jimmy Carr, Doug Stanhope, Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, Jim Jefferies and Zach Galifianakis. He also organizes many other comedy shows in the country, including The Stand-Up Club since 2007. For festivals such as Paaspop and Lowlands he was promotor for comedians, he was artistic director of the International Comedy Festival Rotterdam and he was a jury member / chairman for the prestigious comedy/cabaret Cameretten Festival in the years that great comedians as Daniel Arends and Patrick Laureij won.
The club is managed bij Haug and his partner Debbie van Polanen.
